Vision
To be leaders in providing a balanced primary education, in English, based on Christian principles, to an acknowledged standard of excellence.
Mission
- develop the whole person in every child (academic, extramural, cultural), allowing them to realise their unique potential.
- provide a secure learning environment, a base from which learners are empowered to become responsible, well informed and socially aware citizens.
- foster a sense of self-discipline, confidence and pride – pride in self and pride in the school.
- encourage maximum participation and loyalty from all community members – learners, educators and parents.
Code of Rights and Responsibilities for Parents.
Building a relationship with parents/ guardians is very important to Bedfordview Primary School and its Staff. For this reason the Staff have joined together with the Governing Body to introduce a Code of Rights and Responsibilities for Parents/ Guardians, which commits us to maintaining certain standardsof fairness in our dealings with you, the parents and guardians of the learners at the school.
The code basically deals with BPS's relationship with you as the parent/ guardian and lists the rights and obligations of the school towards the parent/ guardian and the corresponding responsibilities of the parent/ guardian, so that both parties know what to expect from the other. Teamwork among all parties concerned is essential to promote an effective culture of learning in the whole school community.

Finance
The Governing Body, in conjunction with the Principal and Executive Members of staff are responsible for the formulation of annual budgets. This budget is approved by parents at the Annual General Meeting and management is responsible for its implementation. School fees form part of this operation, so parents are well aware of financial implications.
While on the subject of finance, it should be remembered that GDE support covers only the basic costs and the salaries of a quota of staff according to official GDE staff/learner ratios.
Extra teaching staff to maintain reasonable class sizes, additional staff to run and maintain the property and its grounds all costs money.
The Governing Body and parents of the learners continue to accept these and other responsibilities. Through fundraising efforts they have ensured the future of the school by way of buildings, sports facilities, educational extras – and the staff to operate them.
